SRINAGAR: A three-day training on Integrated Supply Chain Management for Apple was inaugurated today February 21, 2022 at the Extension Directorate in conjunction with the National Center for Agricultural Extension Management.
Vice-Chancellor Nazir Ahmad was the main guest of the program. The inaugural program began with a welcome speech presented by Prof. Masood Saleem Mir, Associate Director (AS) Prof. Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi, Extension Manager, SKUAST-Kashmir was the guest of honor on the occasion. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of shortening the apple supply chain and its practices in the horticulture sector. Viz -a -viz the difficulties faced by apple growers in marketing in recent years. He discussed the main issues in the fruit supply chain. Dr Abid Sulan Assistant Professor Div of MBM, Dr Razeef Mohammad AI & Ml expert, Dr Omar Fayaz khan Asstt. Prof Division of MBM Dr. Amrit Khokher, Dr Towheed Amin, Asstt Prof PHT, Razeef Mohammad AI & Ml expert, DrFarahnazRasool, Dr F Shaheen, Dr Purhsotam Singh, DrSushil Kumar also lectured on the importance of managing the supply chain for the apple. The session ended with a vote of thanks presented by Professor Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, Director of the Agri Association.
