Nottingham Forest are full of confidence after their 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Wednesday night saw them climb into the play-off positions for the first time this season.
It’s been an incredible few weeks for Steve Cooper’s side, who notably eliminated 2021 FA Cup champions Leicester City from the tournament at the weekend with a 4-1 hammering.
Forest have now lost just one of their last six games in all competitions and last night showed they were serious, beating promotion rivals Blackburn away from home.
With the odds stacked against them heading into the game, the Reds overwhelmed their opponents, with James Garner scoring after 23 minutes and Brennan Johnson doubling their lead with a second-half kick.
It was their first consecutive victory against the Blue and Whites in over 45 years and there is certainly a lot to celebrate at this time for fans in the forest.
After a home win, Forest usually plays Depeche Mode’s ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ on tannoys at The City Ground, with fans singing along to the 90s classic.
Victory celebrations away from home can often be a much calmer affair for the Forest faithful, with home grounds hesitant to play the club song after full time.
But after the club’s win over Blackburn, it seems a group of supporters have taken matters into their own hands.
Spectators are generally prohibited from bringing large objects like a loudspeaker onto a football pitch, but in bizarre scenes a group of Forest fans managed to smuggle a large boombox past the stewards at the far end away from Ewood Park.

As the party got underway after full time, the Reds faithful sang their club chant at the top of their voices, thanks to a fan who held the speaker above his head and blasted the 1998 track to the entire gate.

Twitter users reacted to the video online, with many taken aback by how Forest fans managed to push the loudspeaker beyond safety…
Forest are now sixth in the league, with Middlesbrough hot on their heels in seventh, also in contention for a promotion spot.
But it was an incredible month of football for the Nottingham side, whose remarkable FA Cup run saw them overcome the last two winners of the tournament, with Forest also beating Arsenal earlier in the fourth round.
They will advance against Huddersfield in the next leg of the tournament in March, but in the meantime Reds fans will soak up their side’s recent form as many just can’t seem to get enough of Forest just yet. .
