Kevin Carroll to be keynote speaker at CUNA GAC | 2022-02-26

CUNA announced Saturday that Kevin Carroll will be Monday’s keynote speaker at the CUNA Government Affairs Conference.

Carroll replaces celebrity chef and humanitarian José Andrés who traveled to Poland to work with his non-profit organization World Central Kitchen (WCK) to help the growing number of displaced Ukrainians.

“José Andrés truly embodies the philosophy of ‘people helping people’, and while we’re sorry to miss him, we’re thrilled that Kevin can join us with his inspirational message designed to help us all move forward. forward in the pursuit of excellence. said Todd Spiczenski, Director of Products and Services at CUNA.

Growing up in Philadelphia, Carroll felt lost in a hectic world. But that changed when he discovered his own inner strength and the power of the “red rubber ball”, a metaphor for the power of the game and the pursuit of personal best.

We all need a “why,” says Carroll, or a driving force that propels us forward.

Carroll’s experience includes a decade in the Air Force, time as a coach with the Philadelphia 76ers and a seven-year stint at Nike, which created a position just for him and where Carroll earned his nickname of “Catalyst”.

He later started The Katalyst Consultancy and has dedicated his life to advancing sport and gaming as a vehicle for social change and a way to show others how to chase their own “red rubber ball”. Carroll is also the author of four books, which build on these life-affirming themes.
