Summit Electric Supply, Image Studios Salon Suites and 3 More Businesses Now Open in Richardson

Here are five companies that recently opened in Richardson.

1. Electricity distributor Summit Electric Supply opened a new service center on November 1 at 1002 N. Central Expressway, Ste. 511, Richardson. The 6,500 square foot service center offers a full customer service counter for electrical professionals, a refreshment area and a call desk for phone and online orders. Founded in 1977, Summit Electric Supply operates service centers in 24 U.S. markets and has been in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area for more than 35 years, according to a press release. 469-775-8000.

2. Image Studios Salon Suites opened on November 15 at 1415 State St., Ste. 900, Richardson, in the CityLine development. The salon has 30 suites available for hire by hair and beauty professionals. 469-219-7911.

3. Royalty Barbershop opened in September at 525 W. Arapaho Road, Ste. 23, Richardson. The company offers a full line of premium hair treatments for men including razor shaving, hair styling and beard trimming as well as haircuts, bleaches, designs and more. 4. The RAI Raynitra Anderson Inc. clothing store opened on December 18 at 670 N. Coit Road, Richardson. Raynitra Anderson launched its business as an online store in early 2020 to provide customers with “affordable luxury” items, she said. In addition to clothing for women and men, the store offers handbags, shoes, swimwear, vintage items and more. RAI Raynitra Anderson Inc. is located in the Promenade North Mall. 214-258-5852.


5. The Element by Westin hotel opened on October 4 at 2205 N. Glenville Drive, Richardson. The $ 22 million hotel has 123 suites spread over four floors. Each suite has a full kitchen and spa-inspired bathrooms, according to a press release. The hotel also offers a fitness center, saltwater swimming pool and a Bikes to Borrow program for its guests. The Element is part of a 5.2-acre mixed-use development owned by hotel and investment management company Midas and real estate development company 3D Development. 972-833-4974.
