TOPIC: A special school supply drive is happening right now, thanks to Barnabas Vision in Murfreesboro – Be part of the effort!

Today on the show, Scott Walker of WGNS addressed those making a difference in our community with a non-profit organization called Barnabas Vision. We talked about their ongoing “school supply drive” for back to school.

Our guest included Hillary Hodges and David Coggin.

DETAILS: Local non-profit organization Barnabas Vision collects school supplies for students in need across the community. Some of the items they encourage others to donate include: pencils, crayons, scissors, glue sticks, school supply boxes, binders, markers, highlighters, erasers, notebooks, paper , colored pencils and folders.

You can donate items by dropping them off at the Barnabas Vision Office in Murfreesboro on MTCS Drive, or donate via Venmo (@barnabas-vision). You can also donate funds for staff to purchase school supplies by visiting their office or sending a check in the mail. Residents have until July 25, 2022 to drop off new school supplies or financial donations for school supplies.

All school supplies collected will be distributed to local school students who live in one of our local housing complexes in the community. There, Barnabas will distribute a total of 50 prepared backpacks for primary school students and 50 backpacks in preparation for middle and high school students.
