Vidhan Sabha Chairman Vipin Parmar says the state has succeeded in delivering transparent government, while addressing people after raising the tricolor during the 73rd Republic Day celebration at the historic ground from Thodo here on Tuesday.

He also praised the parade attended by the police and home guard contingents. He paid homage to the martyrs at the Kargil war memorial.

Parmar said, “The state government has implemented several new programs to provide improved health services to people. The HIMCARE program was started to provide free service to economically weaker sections. Up to 5.13 lakh people have been registered under this scheme and services worth about Rs 200 crore have been provided to 2.17 lakh people.

He also elaborated on other state initiatives. “We should do some soul-searching on the development journey and what can be done to improve it,” he said. —TNS
