The British reboot of Call my agent! – the flamboyant French comedy about the trials and tribulations of life at an acting talent agency – is now on Prime Video. Unlike the original version with its Parisian decor, ten percent is located in a distinctive area of central London.
As you’d expect, Nightingale Hart’s offices in the show are just off London’s bustling West End theater district, with the entrance appearing to be on Fitzrovia’s Rathbone Street. Recognize it? You are probably a horror fan. The newsagents around the corner and the nearby Newman Arms pub (which is also mentioned in George Orwell’s dystopian novel 1984) both feature in the 1960 voyeuristic horror Voyeur.

Along the way, there are fleeting glimpses of major thoroughfares like High Holborn and Charing Cross Road, and interior shots of super-chic London hotel The Dorchester (where james bond author Ian Fleming wrote several of his famous novels that became films). Eagle-eyed viewers will also recognize the characters strolling at a breakneck pace through Leicester Square or bustling Marchmont Street. When they’re not traversing Chinatown, you’ll find them heading for after-work pints, passing late-night chippies and snuggling up in cozy, secret real-life wine bars.
In an attempt to resolve a potential casting dispute between Helena Bonham-Carter and Olivia Williams, for example, agents Jonathan and Rebecca accidentally take the two clients for separate meetings at the Rosewood Hotel – previously a location at The Bourne Ultimatum.
With a cast led by Tony-nominated actress Lydia Leonard, Pirates of the Caribbean starring Jack Davenport, Chewing gumfrom Maggie Steed, comedian extraordinaire Harry Trevaldwyn and charismatic newcomer Hiftu Quasem, ten percent also features a staggering amount of top celebrity cameos. Helena Bonham-Carter, Emma Corrin, Kelly Macdonald, Olivia Williams, Dominic West and Lorraine Kelly enjoy all appearances. Written by W1A’s John Morton, the show feels as British as its iconic backdrop, and the script is littered with brilliant touches of awkwardness, London theater lovers’ high suspense camp and more than a hint of melodrama.
