Armenian Parliament Speaker and Serbian Ambassador discuss cooperation development prospects


YEREVAN, JULY 14, ARMENPRESS. Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan today received Serbian Ambassador to Armenia Tatjana Panajotovic Cvetkovic, the parliament’s press service reported.

Welcoming the guest, the President said he was happy for the occasion to have accepted the credentials of the Ambassador as he replaced the President of the Republic and added that the opening of a permanent diplomatic representation in Armenia is the best impetus for the development of Armenia. Serbian relations and cooperation. The parties discussed the importance of parliamentary diplomacy, emphasizing the exchange of experiences and mutual visits.

Alen Simonyan underlined the active contacts between friendship groups, attaching particular importance to expanding close cooperation with Serbia within the UN, OSCE, Council of Europe and BSEC.

Issues relating to the establishment of peace and security in the region were discussed. Alen Simonyan said that Armenia acts with the agenda to open an era of peace in the region.
