Assistant to the Live Music Agent – 13 artists

13 artists are looking for a highly organized and motivated assistant based in Brighton to join the booking team.

The ideal candidate must be exceptionally organized, flexible and motivated with impeccable attention to detail. The candidate must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to prioritize.

– Experience as an assistant in a similar agency is preferred
– Must be extremely knowledgeable with knowledge of the live music industry
– Meticulous organizational and planning skills
– Excellent time management
– Excellent communication skills
– Self-motivated and demonstrating own initiative in a busy work environment
– A positive and positive attitude
– Great attention to detail
– Ability to prioritize a busy workload
– Strong proven computer skills (PC) must be highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, with knowledge of cloud services such as Dropbox and Hightail
– Absolute discretion – handling of sensitive data and daily dealings with world-class clients
– Confident way of telephoning
– Have a keen interest in new music and have an attentive ear


– Liaise with artists, managers, promoters, business leaders, accountants, touring and production management on all aspects of show/tour administration.
– Creation and issuance of artist show contracts
– Work closely with artists’ accountants and deal with promoters on tax issues and required documents
– Create and update complete artist tour schedules as needed, liaise with management and tour directors
– Handling a large volume of emails and answering calls
– Booking agent travel
– Maintain and update reservation system with data entry / Update database records
– Create sponsorship certificates and help with work permits and visas if needed
– Collection of avails and creation of avails grids
– Assistance with route routing
– Attend fairs and festivals to represent the company
– Pursue deposits/payments when needed
– Collection of information on ticket sales and transmission to the parties concerned
– Oversee artwork and tour announcements
– Develop relationships with managers/artists/venues/promoters
– Issuance and filing of the General Conditions of Use of the Artist
– Manage guest list logistics
– Ensure that promoters receive artists’ riders, technical specifications and press kits

Office hours are 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. You may be required to work extended hours to meet business needs.
