Beyond Van Gogh, a traveling immersive art experience that brings Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings to life through technology and projectionsannounced in a press release today that guests can enjoy free admission to the Louisville Experience with a donation of JCPS classroom art supplies.
Each guest who brings “a collection” of the supplies listed below will receive a free ticket with paid admission.
Here is their list of demands:
- Pencils (Ticonderoga or similar quality)
- artistic erasers
- Crayola Watercolor Sets
- Colouring pencils
- Glue sticks (Elmer’s or UHU)
- Sharpie Markers
- Crayola Magic Template (white)
In a statement, Melisa Gano, arts education manager for JCPS, said: “School supply budgets for teaching the visual arts are limited, so these donations will go a long way in helping teachers have what they need. need for art lessons to be successful and engaging for students. It is important that we have the resources necessary for students to express their ideas, opinions and dreams through art.
Louisville’s Beyond Van Gogh stop opened at the Kentucky International Convention Center on Wednesday, July 6 and runs Wednesday through Saturday each week until Saturday, September 3. Tickets start at $23.99 for children (ages 5-15) and $39.99 for adults, and you can buy them on this link.
The JCPS school year begins tomorrow, Wednesday, August 10.
