This week’s Dying Light 2 update adds its New Game Plus mode, along with new endgame content.
Patch 1.3.0. launches this Wednesday, April 27, and lets you carry over your character progress and gear into a new adventure (though Nighrunners tools like the grappling hook and paraglider will still need to be obtained throughout the story).
You will also be able to find 30 new Inhibitors to maximize your health and stamina.
Enemies will scale to your already robust level, with challenging special encounters and a new “Something Big Has Happened Here” quest. It sounds worrying.
Developer Techland says new challenges and encounters will grant weapons with Legendary rarity, while there’s also a new Parkour Medal Platinum Medal.
The patch also adds an FOV slider on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and fixes various outstanding bugs.
Last week, Techland revealed that Dying Light 2 has sold 5 million copies since its launch in early February. It’s a solid start for the game – although last week we also heard that its predecessor has now clocked up a staggering 20 million copies over the years.
Then there are two versions of DLC, plus more weapons and events. And of course, there’s still the delayed Switch release coming later this year.
