F&B Club Agent – Reception – InterContinental® Hotel Dubai Festival City

The Club Intercontinental Agent will report directly to the Club Manager/Supervisor and be responsible for all activities relating to the Club Lounge reception. This includes welcoming all guests, checking in and out and assisting with any other enquiries, with an emphasis on VIP guests and loyalty recognition.

  • Serve all guests according to company standards
  • Recognize IHG Rewards Club Members and Loyal Guests
  • Demonstrate the highest level of hospitality at all times
  • Communicate any difficulties to your superior
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Stay ahead of customer needs – save and act on their preferences, and manage their messages, requests, questions and concerns
  • Be a trusted contact for all guests. Help them with anything from billing issues to local knowledge, and wrap up management when needed
  • Stay safe all the time. By following our safety procedures, you will report all incidents and wear any necessary protective equipment
  • Take pride in your appearance and position yourself as a brand ambassador
  • Always know what events and activities are on the agenda for the day
  • Switch to other ad hoc tasks when your colleagues need your help

What we need from you

Ideally, you have some or all of the following skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Communication skills – guests and colleagues will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so it will be easy for you to talk
  • English language proficiency – additional language skills would be excellent, but not essential
  • Literate and tech-savvy – you will need good reading, writing, basic math and computer skills, and experience in our booking system, Opera.
  • Flexibility – night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
  • You will have a high school diploma or qualification. A college or university degree would be a plus, but not essential
  • Experience – ideally you will have spent at least two years in a reception or customer service role in a 5 star property
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
