Future Oxford Speaker Series on Composting

Registration is now open for a live stream of the Future Oxford Speaker Series which will focus on composting.

OXFORD COUNTY – Time is running out if you want to register for Go Organic – Rotthe next event in the Future Oxford Speaker series.

Bryan Smith, president of Zero Waste Oxford, said the online presentation will focus solely on composting.

“You can take organic waste to your garden and use a composter, green cone, worm digester or other technologies to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in your trash bag.”

Smith says Rich Hesterman is a local expert on the subject and will be one of the guest speakers.

“Rich is absolutely brilliant. He’s going to share the experience he’s had over the past few years where he’s created some pretty wonderful amounts of soil that can enrich the soils in your garden.”

Those who tune in to the free live stream at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22 will be able to comment and ask questions. Smith says the discussion will be posted online afterwards, so those unable to tune in can also watch.

You can register for the event online here.
