This year, JLLA is proud to announce activist Charlotte Clymer and innovator Blaire G. Hervey as the final keynote speakers in its Distinguished Speakers Series, sponsored by the League’s Legacy Leadership Circle.
The Legacy Leadership Circle (LLC) is focused on retaining and strengthening the next generation of Junior League of Los Angeles (JLLA) leaders. The Junior League of Los Angeles Legacy Leadership Circle Distinguished Speaker Series highlights fearless women leaders who embody JLLA’s mission and contribute to change for the well-being of women.
Last September, Charlotte Clymer, writer, LGBTQIA + activist, communications consultant and military veteran, explained to JLLA members how to be an effective ally and volunteer, how to present yourself as a true activist, to lead change and inclusive feminism. , and how to respectfully interact with and advocate for LGBTQIA + youth.
On January 11, 2022, Blaire G. Hervey, Business Consultant, Career Coach, Public Speaker and Social Activist, will speak to members about creating an inclusive culture within the League, increasing productivity with inclusion and diversity , as well as intersectionality. This event will take place on Zoom at 6:30 p.m. PT.
JLLA’s focus areas are self-esteem and empowerment of transitional host youth and educational opportunities for underserved students seeking higher education. The League is committed to giving back to the community and giving hope for a better future, for everyone.
