Stitcher’s Drew Welborn Joins WME as Digital Agent – The Hollywood Reporter

Drew Welborn joined WME as an agent in the digital media department after a three-year stint with Stitcher.

While at Stitcher, Welborn served as vice president and head of partnerships before leading programming and development at the podcast company, overseeing teams working on popular shows such as My favorite murder, Conan O’Brien needs a friend, Office ladies, The ring and WTF With Marc Maron.

Prior to joining Stitcher in 2018, Welborn was an agent for the Billions Group and, prior to that, a comedy touring agent at New York-based UTA. Now Welborn is returning to the agency where he debuted in the mailroom before rising through the ranks to represent talent in the comedy and digital space, which included Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Grace Helbig, Jermaine. Fowler and Hari Konbabolu at the time.

Welborn joins WME as the agency expands its representation in the audio and podcast space. This year, the agency signed the podcast A million dollars worth of play and its hosts, as well as the podcast production company Broccoli Productions. Other shows represented by WME include Dax Shepard’s Chair expert, Brene Brown Unblock us, Rob Lowe Literally!, Pushkin Network by Malcolm Gladwell, Radio Freakonomics and Pod save America.
